En-trenched into Neutrals

We don't know about you guys, but we're so ready to dive into spring trends right now. This season calls for bold colors/prints as well as soft, subtle nudes which gave us the inspiration for this OOTD.

Outfit:
Trench: Burberry
Blouse: Express
Skirt: Bebe
Purse: Chanel
Necklace: Lee Angel
Shoes: Marc Jacobs

Linda:
I'm a firm believer in investing in a couple of key items to add to your wardrobe and a classic trench coat is one of them. I bought my trench this past winter and have been itching to wear it, now that the wintry days are slowly fading. I've been seeing neutrals and bright and beautiful colors on the runway for the spring, so I thought it would also be perfect to finally wear my pink skirt that's been sitting around my closet for the past couple of years. Don't ask me why I bought it cuz I don't even remember...most likely it was a good deal:P

It's hard to replicate things you see on the runway, because the outfits are not always very wearable pieces for everyday life, so I tried to keep my outfit clean and simple with only solid colors, but still include the spring trends.

Outfit:
Coat: Banana Republic
Scarf: H&M
Top & Bottom: Forever 21
Shoes: Cynthia Vincent for Target

Melanie:

I've had this never-worn coat from BR for at least two years now. When Linda had mentioned bold prints and neutrals being in this spring season, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to break it out. The 3/4 sleeves make it perfect for those brisk mornings, but yet still cool enough to wear when the day gets warmer. The bright rose print for the inner lining makes this coat a little different from the normal ones that I own. My slouchy neutral top paired well with a floral print scarf over dark skinny jeans. The Cynthia Vincent sandals were perfect in completing this ensemble - I just wish they were a little bit more comfortable than they actually looked. =P

Hi Linda and Melanie - LOVE your outfits in this post! such a wonderful transition from Winter to Spring!

Linda, I was wondering if you could share the style of your Chanel bag. I am currently looking into purchasing a In the Business flap, but your bag has me changing my mind!

@Dianna Thanks Dianna, glad you enjoyed our outfits:) My Chanel is the WOC (Wallet on chain) and it's a great, functional bag because you can use it as a clutch, a shoulder bag (double the straps) or just use the long strap to wear as a messenger bag. Hope that helps!
